High Performance Solar Panel Design
Challenge
Green Frog Systems required a new range of high performance solar panels that delivered superior efficiency compared to existing models. The key objectives were to improve power output, reduce weight and manufacturing costs, and maintain a refined, durable, and aesthetically pleasing design. The solar panel engineering also needed to ensure the panels met stringent structural design requirements to withstand high wind loads — including those found in cyclone-prone regions — while enabling varying tilt configurations.
Solution
Aretech Innovations led the mechanical design and structural verification of the new solar panel range. Using advanced Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles, Aretech developed detailed 3D CAD models optimised for strength, material efficiency, and production simplicity.
Comprehensive finite element analysis (FEA) and supporting hand calculations were performed to verify structural performance under extreme wind loading conditions. The analytical work was complemented by the design and execution of detailed physical test procedures, ensuring validation against real-world environmental loads and compliance expectations.
